Acciari sent to Providence

The 4th line forward had been struggling as of late.

Straight from the team website, Noel Acciari has been sent down to Providence.

Acciari has only played twice since the 20th of December, and could use some regular time to get his game back together.

While he hasn’t been bad, he hasn’t made the impact many had hoped for. Acciari has just two points in 19 games this season (though, in fairness, piling up the points isn’t really what he’s suspected to do).

Couple that with Anton Blidh remaining serviceable and Jimmy Hayes picking his game up as of late, and you end up with an odd-man out recipe.

Per Mark Divver of the Providence Journal, Acciari is playing on a line with All-Star Danton Heinen and Peter Mueller tonight. Not a bad way to get yourself going again.
