Mark Bellhorn on Stanley Cup of Chowder?!?!
Yes, that’s right. It’s a celebration of Boston sports championships, and we want you to be a part of it.
Last week, we reviewed “Count the Rings!”, the new book from veteran Boston sportscaster Bob Halloran.
Bob and the publisher were kind enough to give us an additional copy to give to one of our readers — is it you?
Here’s how you can win:
- In the comments section of this post, tell us your favorite sports memory surrounding one of the Boston championships mentioned in this book. Yes, this is a Bruins blog, but it doesn’t have to be from 2011.
- We want to hear why the moment mattered to you: were you watching with family? Were you in a dingy college apartment? Did you meet your spouse at the celebration?
- Say as much or as little as you want. Throw in a YouTube video, include a link, whatever you want to do.
All that’s required to participate is a Chowder account. If you don’t have one, they’re free to make. We’ll leave this contest open through Friday, as some new accounts have a 24-hour freeze on them when it comes to leaving comments.
Any trouble, let me know by email (bruinshockeynow at gmail).
Once we have all of the entries, we’ll gather them, assign a number to each one and use a random number generator to pick the winner. We’ll take care of shipping it to you.
EDIT (Wednesday, 10/31): Thanks to all those who commented! Sven Johnson is our winner, based on a random number generator. Enjoy the book!
