Danton Heinen woke up this morning preparing for the Providence Bruins’ two-game weekend road trip.
He’ll go to sleep tonight with his first NHL goal in his back pocket.
Called up from Providence this morning, Heinen gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead with a shorthanded goal midway through the first period.

Great shot by David Backes, terrible rebound control by Martin Jones and great net drive by Heinen.
Congrats to the Denver product!
UPDATE: He scored again. Might as well post it, right?
