Per various reports, former 1st round pick (24th overall, 2012) Malcolm Subban did not clear waivers, and has instead been claimed by the newest NHL team, the Vegas Golden Knights.

Subban has had a interesting time within the Bruins system, primarily spending time in Providence to varied success, although notably de-railed by a fractured larynx in 2016. In Providence he played in 127 games over 4 seasons with his best year statistically coming in 2014-15 season, one in which he finished with a .921 SV% in regular season, and finished strong with a .953 SV% in 2 postseason games. He has two NHL games to his credit, both of which went disastrously bad for him (.727% SV combined).

The Boston to Vegas express is still going strong as Vegas have now taken Colin Miller, Dave Goucher and Malcolm Subban in relatively short order.

In being claimed by Vegas, Subban will be joining two established NHL goalies in Mar-Andre Fleury and Calvin Pickard.
