With three games on tap, it’s another busy weekend for Providence.

A very depleted Providence Bruins squad is playing 3 games this weekend, with two contests at home and a road game in Hartford on Saturday. Providence is currently second in the Atlantic Division, behind the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

The depletion isn’t due to injuries, but to call-ups: Providence has seen Austin Czarnik, Danton Heinen and Zane McIntyre called up to the big club over the past few days.

This weekend’s first opponent will be the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, who come to Providence on Friday and, in a weird scheduling quirk, return to town on Sunday.

Notable players on the Sound Tigers’ squad include forward Josh Ho-Sang, who is back in Bridgeport after an NHL stint with the Islanders; forward Scott Easnor, who has seven goals on the season; and forward Steve Bernier, who has five goals.

The Bridgeport games will be at 7:05 pm on Friday and 3:05 pm on Sunday.

Sandwiched between the Bridgeport games will be a Saturday trip to Hartford to face the Wolf Pack at the XL Center.

Hartford is currently fifth in the Atlantic Division with a 4-5-0 record. Left wing Cole Schneider has been very strong for the Wolf Pack this season, with 4 goals and 6 assists thus far. Also having a great start to the season is left wing Adam Tambellini, who has five goals on the year.

Lead Hartford goaltender Chris Neil is 3-3 with a 3.17 GAA

The Bruins-Wolf Pack game will be at 7:30 pm.
