Beleskey (BOS) on waivers today
— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) December 14, 2017
Darren Dreger talked last night about Beleskey being put on waivers at some point in the next week, and the move came much sooner rather than later. With a $3.8 million cap hit, it’s highly unlikely no one claims him before tomorrow. What this opens up is the ability for Beleskey to head to Providence to earn his ice time and regain the confidence to fight for a position on the NHL roster. Even still, if there’s no spots, it helps increase his trade value by giving him consistent playing time for willing trade partners. What do you hope happens to Beleskey?
