Cave is currently sitting at a perfectly fine 14 points in 27 games in Providence. He played with Jake DeBrusk for a couple of years as part of the Swift Current Broncos in the WHL. His first recall, and if he’s slotted in for tonight’s contest, it will be his NHL debut.
If I had to guess, I’d imagine a 4th liner is currently nursing an injury of some kind, but we’ll have to see once lines are released.
