After Fredrik Claesson’s very sketchy hit to Noel Acciari in last night's 5-1 Bruins victory, the NHL Player Safety Department may unleash some extracurricular punishment on the Swedish defenseman.
Ottawa’s Fredrik Claesson will have a hearing today for an illegal check to the head on Boston’s Noel Acciari.

The hit was clearly making principle point of contact with the head, while Acciari was vulnerable taking a pass from Charlie McAvoy. Tim Schaller did step in and fight Claesson afterwards, but the damage to Acciari had already been dealt. How many games of a suspension could Claesson get?
