David Pastrnak is truly a delight

I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed anything as much as David Pastrnak enjoys hockey.

“Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.”

For most people, it’s just an annoying saying that you see on those fake wood signs sold at mall kiosks.

However, in David Pastrnak, the Bruins have a player who has more fun playing professional hockey than I’ve ever had doing anything in my life.

The Internet is littered with photos and videos of Pastrnak being Pastrnak: laughing, interacting with fans and just generally having fun.

It’s refreshing to see someone in hockey who doesn’t have the standard, robotic personality, and it’s something the league could use more of.

(The time will come, of course, where Good Hockey Men insist that Pastrnak doesn’t Take The Game Seriously™, but we won’t get to those stupid narratives until he goes 20 games without scoring.)

This is little more than a Pastrnak Appreciation Post, perfect for a random December Saturday.

Let us celebrate:

Pastrnak peppering Anton Khudobin with shots during practice, then (sarcastically) praising him for making so many saves.

Pastrnak giving a young Avalanche fan a moment to remember.

Pastrnak singing/rapping along to the music while warming up in Nashville.

Is this supposed to be a human Christmas tree? Either way, it’s great.

Yung Dave enjoying a lovely al fresco dinner in the North End.

Going around and around and around and around...

There are plenty more. Let us praise Yung Dave.

Amen.
