The NWHL announced on Tuesday that the first of two Isobel Cup semifinal games will take place at Warrior Ice Arena on Thursday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m.
The undefeated Boston Pride will host the #4-seeded team, which will likely be the Connecticut Whale, who sit in last place with a record of 4-10. Last season, the Pride faced the New York Riveters at Endicott College’s Raymond J. Borque Arena and swept them in the three-game series. This season, the entirety of the playoffs will consist of only three games in order to accommodate for the IIHF Women’s Worlds. According to the league’s statement, the times and locations for the other two playoff games will be announced in the near future.
Tickets will be available to the general public today at 4:00 p.m., so if you’d like to go, buy them ASAP - the Pride’s 3-1 home win over the Buffalo Beauts on Saturday was a sellout, and this game likely will be as well.
