The Bruins have been rolling under new head coach Bruce Cassidy, 6-1 with the new bench boss.
You’d think that with their success, and with Don Sweeney’s earlier comments about standing pat, things would be quiet in the Hub on the trade front.
Right?
Maybe not, according to some.
Chatter tonight amongst NHL sources that #lakings & #Blackhawks have expressed interest in Zdeno Chara & #NHLBruins are listening.

Chara will be 40 next season and has one more year left on his contract, so a move wouldn’t be unprecedented.
However, he has a cap hit of just under $7 million for this season, and $4 million for next year, so whoever takes him would need to be able to accommodate that under their cap.
It's worth noting that if the Tweet above is, in fact, legit, there's nothing wrong with the Bruins "listening" to calls on Chara. In fact, it's what they should do.
However, "listening" doesn't mean a move is imminent, and it's hard to imagine a GM whose owner wants playoff hockey signing off on a deal like this now.
We'll give this one a 3/10 on the likelihood scale, with 10 being most likely to happen.
What pieces would you want to see in return if a deal like this goes down?
