Seriously, he’s doing great

Tuukka Rask has won his 200th regular season game for the Boston Bruins with last night’s hilarious win over Vancouver. Brad Marchand’s hat trick sealed the deal, heck yeah.

Where does this put Rask in Bruins history? Top 5, easily. Only 4 other goalies have played more games for them, and the names are a pretty big deal:

  1. Tiny Thompson, 468 GP, 252-153-62, Stanley Cup ‘29, Hall of Fame ‘59
  2. Frank Brimsek, 444 GP, 230-144-70, Stanley Cup ‘39 and ‘41, Hall of Fame ‘66
  3. Eddie Johnston, 444 GP, 180-193-56, Stanley Cup ‘70 and ‘72
  4. Gerry Cheevers, 416 GP, 229-101-74, Stanley Cup ‘70 and ‘72, Hall of Fame ‘85
  5. Tuukka Rask, 385 GP, 200-119-47, Stanley Cup ‘11

As you can see, rarified air. Or sauna, if you prefer:

Congratulations, Tuukka!
