Rangers at Bruins: Projected Lines

Will the newly-acquired Drew Stafford draw into the lineup?

NHL: Arizona Coyotes at Boston Bruins Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Here’s a look at the Rangers’ line combinations for tonight’s game.

Forwards

J.T. Miller - Derek Stepan - Rick Nash

Chris Kreider - Mika Zibanejad - Mats Zuccarello

Jimmy Vesey - Kevin Hayes - Michael Grabner

Brandon Pirri - Oscar Lindberg - Matt Puempel

Pavel Buchnevich was called up from the Hartford Wolf Pack today, which might mean that Grabner is not ready to play after taking a hard check from teammate/defenseman Adam Clendening during practice yesterday. Kreider and Zibanejad are game-time decisions, though are likely to play.

Defense

Marc Staal - Ryan McDonagh

Brendan Smith - Nick Holden

Brady Skjei - Adam Clendening

Dan Girardi is out at least two weeks with a deep gash on his ankle. Kevin Klein is still experiencing back spasms, though may slot in if he’s feeling up for it tonight. Brendan Smith will make his debut with his new club.

Goalies

Henrik Lundqvist

Antti Raanta

It’s King Henrik’s birthday today! (Let’s spoil it.)

Bruins Lineup

Forwards

Matt Beleskey - Dominic Moore - Riley Nash

New acquisition Drew Stafford won’t be playing tonight, per WEEI’s Ty Anderson:

Where he would is still up for debate, but we won’t find out just yet.

Anderson also reported Tim Schaller’s scratch in favor of Beleskey, and confirmed the defense (below):

Defense

Zdeno Chara - Brandon Carlo

Torey Krug - Adam McQuaid

Colin Miller - Kevan Miller

John-Michael Liles and Joe Morrow were on the ice with the big club yesterday, however.

Goalies

Tuukka Rask

Anton Khudobin

Tuukka can take this one, so Dobby can slot in on Saturday vs. the Devils.
