Charlie McAvoy scores for BU in 2OT to beat UND

The Bruins prospect ended arguably the most exciting college hockey game this season.

Matt Dresens/BU Hockey Blog

This game was an all out battle for the Terriers and Fighting Hawks. BU gave up the first goal for the 10th straight game, got out to a 3-1 lead and let UND tie it after a game delay (a pane of glass shattered on a bone-crushing hit). In overtime, North Dakota scored, but the goal was taken back because the incoming rush into the zone was offsides. Then in double overtime, McAvoy with the one-timer to end it. Classic hockey game, and McAvoy’s Terriers stay alive in the NCAA tournament.
