As reported on this morning, Charlie McAvoy is headed to Providence on an ATO. He won’t play Friday, but will watch hopefully take to the ice on Saturday in Springfield against the Thunderbirds. Now his former bench boss, BU head coach David Quinn is sure McAvoy will succeed at the pro level.
“Charlie is more prepared for the NHL from a physical aspect [than Clayton Keller],“ Quinn said. “I think he’s going to be able to step in and be an every day NHL-er from the get-go.”
Words of high praise from Commonwealth Avenue that hopefully make an impact on Sabin Street and on Causeway Street, soon enough.
