Here’s a look at the Devils’ line combinations for tonight’s game.
Forwards
Taylor Hall - Kyle Palmeiri - Travis Zajac
Miles Wood - Adam Henrique - Beau Bennett
Pavel Zacha - Blake Coleman - Stefan Noesen
Joseph Blandisi - Kevin Rooney - Devante Smith-Pelly
Pavel Zacha is likely a game-time decision; still recovering from an injury.
UPDATE: Zacha will not play tonight, per Daily Faceoff. His concussion recovery continues, though he was on the ice yesterday for practice. The Devils will dress 11 forwards and 7 defensemen.
Mike Cammalleri suffered what looked like a shoulder injury in the third period against the Capitals on Thursday. After trading P.A. Parenteau for a garbage draft pick, the Devils’ season looks like a tankshow, at least from the forward perspective.
Defense
Andy Greene - Ben Lovejoy
Jon Merrill - Steven Santini
John Moore - Damon Severson
Dalton Prout should draw into this lineup somewhere... but, with forward injuries pending, one of these guys may slot on a forward line instead. This could be an interesting development later today.
Goalies
Cory Schneider
Keith Kincaid
Though we’d probably rather see a backup goalie duel, Cory Schneider may stay in. The guy is an ironman and from the Boston area - not just of Boston College, but Marblehead High and Philips-Andover Academy as well.
Bruins Lineup
Forwards
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Backes
Peter Cehlarik - David Krejci - David Pastrnak
Frank Vatrano - Ryan Spooner - Drew Stafford
Tim Schaller - Dominic Moore - Riley Nash
The Question has been Answered. Drew Stafford grabs Jimmy Hayes’ spot on the third line to begin rushes at this morning’s skate, and Large Jim and Matt Beleskey draw out as 4th forwards, respectively, on these last two lines. Stafford will likely also see time on the second power-play unit.
Defense
Zdeno Chara - Brandon Carlo
Torey Krug - Adam McQuaid
Colin Miller - Kevan Miller
John-Michael Liles and Joe Morrow were on the ice with the big club yesterday, however.
Goalies
Anton Khudobin
Tuukka Rask
Give the Finnish God some rest, will ya?!
