Practice lines: Still no Krejci

But at least one guy was back skating...

Boston Bruins v Ottawa Senators - Game One

We’re not in Ottawa, but plenty of beat-writers are! Here’s what they saw at practice earlier this afternoon:

Some notes:

  • No David Krejci. Considering he took warm-ups Wednesday, it’s odd that he wasn’t at practice at all. However, there may be some small, nagging thing that’s better served by rest. Krejci not practicing today doesn’t mean he’s definitely out, but it’s certainly not a good sign.
  • The Bruins official account had Kuraly in JFK’s spot. Not sure if there’s some confusion there, or if they were rotating in and out. Either way, seems odd to play JFK in a playoff game after barely playing him Saturday (unless there are no other options).
  • No mention whatsoever of Noel Acciari or Jimmy Hayes. This could mean that they were extras on the line rushes, or that they didn’t practice at all. Every indication is that Hayes is healthy enough to play; Acciari’s situation isn’t as clear.
  • Also no mention of Torey Krug or Brandon Carlo, so it’s probably safe to assume they’re both out for Game 2.
  • Still sticking with Drew Stafford on the left wing instead of letting David Backes play center. I don’t get it, but hey, I’m not a coach.

Fluto also reported that Colin Miller skated and looked better, but didn’t skate in the line rushes, which isn’t a good sign.

Tomorrow should be interesting!
