The Panthers played their last home game of the regular season last night, and it marked the end of the playing career of one of the most popular Bruins in recent memories: Shawn Thornton.

The former enforcer played more than 700 regular season games and 100 playoff games over the course of 25 years in the league.
Thornton was beloved as a Bruin by many due to his role as an enforcer/energy guy who could also play the game with a surprising bit of skill.
He always stuck up for his teammates (occasionally taking things too far) and was never afraid to answer the bell.
