From the team:
Thus ends the wailing and grinding of teeth over Anders Bjork possibly taking the “Vesey route.”
Remember, rumors started swirling in recent weeks that Bjork might shun the Bruins in favor of returning to school in order to play in the Olympics, or that he might just want to be a free agent instead.
Those rumors can be put to rest with this announcement, as the Bruins now have another major asset under organizational control.
If you’re unfamiliar, Bjork was a monster for Notre Dame last year, recording 52 points (21G-31A) in 39 games, per EliteProspects.com. The junior’s season was good enough to get him named a Hobey Baker finalist as one of the nation’s best college players.
Expect Bjork to challenge for a spot on the big club come September.
