Report: C. Miller to Toronto “a strong possibility”

It looks like the lone Vegas Bruin might not ever get there...

There have been rumors swirling for a while now that the real fireworks of this offseason wouldn’t start until the expansion draft trade freeze was lifted.

The reasoning is that Vegas is, supposedly, planning on jettisoning a bunch of guys it claimed in the draft, flipping them to other interested parties for assets.

One of those guys? Former Bruin Colin Miller.

There have been a few reports out there that the Maple Leafs are interested in Miller, with TSN’s Frank Seravalli reporting earlier this week that the move was possible.

This morning, we get another report from a well-connected reporter:

Welp.

It makes sense, from a Vegas perspective, as they’ll probably get a prospect and/or pick back for him.

From a Bruins perspective, this one kind of hurts. Not only do you lose a young defenseman for nothing, but you see him end up on your up-and-coming division rival?

Ouch.
