Let’s not let Day 1 have all the fun.

NHL: NHL Draft David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Alright, so we made it through Day 1 of the NHL Draft and we’re all still here. The Bruins ended up with Finnish defenseman Urho Vaakanainen, selected 18th overall.

The Bruins will look to add to their prospect coffers today, with five more picks over the draft’s six remaining rounds.

Here’s where they sit:

2nd Round: 53rd overall - The Bruins received this pick from Edmonton as compensation for hiring Peter Chiarelli

3rd Round: No pick - The Bruins used this pick to acquire Zac Rinaldo.

4th Round: 111th overall - Standard pick

5th Round: No pick - The Bruins traded this pick to Carolina for John-Michael Liles; Carolina then traded it to Las Vegas.

6th Round: 173rd overall - Standard pick

7th Round: 195th overall - From Florida, with whom they swapped seventh-round picks last year; 204th overall - Standard pick
