Earlier today, the Hockey Hall of Fame admitted the maximum 4 former NHL players, 2 builders and 1 (of possible 2) female former players with a distinct Bruins tone.
While Teemu Selanne was considered a lock, a beloved former Bruin, Mark Recchi and Selanne teammate Kariya were considered less likely. Most controversial was former onetime Bruin Dave Andreychuck being enshrined in his 9th year of eligibility.
Longtime Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs as well as Clare Drake were the two builders, joined by legendary female hockey player, coach and Canadian Olympian Danielle Goyette.
Congrats to all of the newest members of the Hockey Hall of Fame, in particular to a key piece of the Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup run, Mark Recchi.
