Bruins Re-Sign Noel Acciari

A two year deal for the young forward

Boston Bruins v Ottawa Senators - Game Five

Per the Bruins official Twitter, they have re-signed gritty and hardworking forward Noel Acciari to a one way, 2 year deal.

Boston Bruins

The deal is worth $725k per year, which is actually a drop from his previous entry level deal that carried an AAV of $925k. The Rhode Island native skated in 29 NHL games with Boston last season, compiling 5pts (2g,3a), as well as 1 goal over 4 postseason games. In addition, Noel played in 30 games in Providence scoring 6 times and assisting on 8 goals. At this point, contract details have not been released as to salary and/or cap hit for each year. The former Providence College captain missed time last season due to various injuries, but was a worthwhile contributor when on the ice. He was 2nd on team in hits per game with 2.8 per game, finishing the year with 80 hits in 29 GP.

Acciari can play either wing or center, most likely on the 4th line, but can be moved up to 3rd if necessary. Given the cheap money, and short term, this seems to be a solid, low risk move by the Bruins.
