The Bruins off and on for the last few offseason have been linked to Kevin Shattenkirk. FInally, the sweepstakes seem to be over and it appears Boston will not be his destination.
Unofficially,what I'm told is Shattenkirk signing with @NYRangers 4yrs 6.9 Million per year. @NHL @NHLNetwork .

Nice.
Last season, Shattenkirk scored 11 goals and 31 assists in 61 games with the St. Louis Blues before being traded to the Washington Capitals. In 19 games post trade, he tallied 2 goals and 12 assists.
EDIT
Talked to Shattenkirk camp. He hasn't decided where he will sign yet, reports otherwise are premature.

Many of the beats have been going against Weekes’ rumor, so we’ll see how it all plays out!
ANOTHER EDIT (3 PM): It’s done. Shattenkirk is off to the Rangers.

And then there’s this:
Shattenkirk tells TSN he had better offers on the table (more term & money) but wanted to play in New York.

Were the Bruins one of those teams? Maybe, but he’s not coming here.
