Free agent defenseman Joe Morrow signs with rival Canadiens.
The Canadiens have agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way contract with free agent defenseman Joe Morrow for the 2017-18 season.

After not being offered a qualifying offer by the Bruins on Monday, Morrow (24) has signed a one year deal with fierce rivals, the Montreal Canadiens. Contract details have not been released, but he will be reunited with former Bruins coach Claude Julien. Morrow dressed for 65 NHL games scoring 9 pts (2g, 9a). Given Montreal’s relative lack of defensive depth, he will likely draw in more often than he had during his Bruins tenure.
Edit: One way contract with $575k salary per Renaud Lavoie.

Best of luck Joe, just not against the Bruins!
