The Bruins announced that they have re-signed Zane McIntyre and Malcolm Subban to two way, two year deals worth $650,000 each.

McIntyre and Subban have been the AHL tandem for some time now: McIntyre posting a .930 and Subban posting a .915 last year for the Providence Bruins and bringing the P-Bruins all the way to the AHL eastern conference final!

Both however, have been fairly unsuccessful at the NHL level, with Subban being thrown to the wolves in both times they started him. (Against the Blues in 2015, Against the Wild in 2016), and McIntyre has been cursed with miserable luck and defensive efforts in front of him, only harmed more with puck tracking issues. Neither have had anything close to a .900 Save-% in NHL play.

But at the AHL level? They've been pretty dang solid, so Providence will be happy to have them back. It'll also give both an opportunity to improve themselves and maybe gun for Anton Khudobin's job. Hopefully they'll have improved over the summer enough to do so.
