During today’s Winter Classic, which has been littered with all sorts of goofy little stories, the USA does as they normally do in an olympic year and announce their roster, and here it is, sans current NHLers!:

Now obviously you could look at this list and say “That doesn’t seem complete”, and...it probably isn’t. They’re still looking for goaltenders.
One name you might recognize is Brian Gionta, who was previously a Buffalo Sabre. Or maybe Mark Arcobello!
But the one you’re gonna watch is one Ryan Donato of the Harvard Crimson, prospect for the Boston Bruins, Scituate native.
Donato has 20 points (12 goals, 8 assists) in 12 games for the Crimson, and is one of the more prolific players in ECAC hockey, clocking in at 3rd in-conference scoring and has been having just a fantastic time playing for the Ivy school.
The 23rd Winter Olympiad begins on February 9th in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Congratulations to everyone who got on the team and let’s wish Donato luck as he represents Team USA!
Update: He seems pretty stoked to represent the Red, White and Blue!
