Some tough news out of Providence tonight: Matt Beleskey took a puck to the face during the P-Bruins’ game against Bridgeport and hasn’t returned, as of the second period.
Per P-Bruins insider Mark Divver, it doesn’t look good:
Hearing it's a possible facial fracture for Matt Beleskey. Awful luck for a good guy

Chances are if Divver is “hearing” something like that, he’s hearing it from a reliable source, as few are more “in the know” with the P-Bruins than he is.
Hopefully Beleskey makes a speedy recovery. Facial fractures don’t necessarily keep players out of the game (see Chris Kelly’s CAGEFACE phase in 2011), but it certainly can’t be pleasant.
This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
UPDATE: Not good.
Matt Beleskey has a broken orbital bone. Not known yet how long he'll be out. @AHLBruins #NHLBruins
