Tuukka Rask named first star of the month for December

Guess they should trade him while his value is high, huh?

Hey so it turns out Tuukka Rask had a pretty good December, and today he was named the NHL’s first star of the month as a result.

Rask had nine wins, two shutouts and a save percentage of 0.955 on the month. His overall record was 9-0-1, and he’s currently earned points in 11 consecutive starts.

A December goals-against average of just 1.22 rounds out the impressive stat sheet.

Josh Bailey of the New York Islanders and Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning were named the second and third stars, respectively.
