The Bruins announced this evening that Anders Bjork will be headed down to Providence:

— Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins) January 3, 2018
Bjork has played 28 games for Boston, racking up 8 points.
For what it’s worth, I completely agree with the move. While Bjork is unquestionably talented and has earned the right to play pro hockey, his game doesn’t come across as anything other than perfectly average in most respects during an average shift, with shifts where he did look like a world beater being an extreme exception, and not the rule. Providence will be the perfect environment for him to learn a few things and maybe string together those strong shifts into a stronger game.
...Here’s hoping he can actually get down there in time with the storm, though.
Providence will play the Hartford Wolfpack on Friday, and the Syracuse Crunch on Sunday, both at the Dunkin Donuts center in Rhode Island.
