Another day, another honor for Bruins prospect Ryan Donato.

Shortly after being named to the United States men’s Olympic hockey team, Donato was named the National Division I Player of the Month for December by the Hockey Commissioners’ Association.

Donato, a junior forward for the Harvard Crimson in the ECAC, has had quite a start to the college hockey season.

Per GoCrimson.com, Donato:

  • Had a 12-game point streak to start the season
  • Led DI for the month in points per game (2.50), goals per game (2.00), hat tricks (2) and shots on goal per game (5.75)
  • Leads DI on the season in points per game (1.67) and goals per game (1.00)

Donato was also named the ECAC Player of the Month for December.

Quite a run for the son of former Bruin Ted Donato, and quite a run through December for the entire Bruins organization.

Congrats to the kid!
