Turns out that random junior hockey trade from the other day actually had some meaning behind it: Jesse Gabrielle is, in fact, going back to juniors.
Bruins make it official: Jesse Gabrielle reassigned to Regina of WHL

It may seem like a demotion of sorts for the pesky winger, but he’d struggled in Providence this season.
He had just a goal and three assists in 21 games for the P-Bruins this season, and, per those who had seen him often, seemed to lack a bit of confidence in recent weeks.
The return to juniors gives Gabrielle a shot to play for the Memorial Cup, as the Regina Pats are hosting the storied tournament this year.
Gabrielle is from Moosomin, SK, some two hours from Regina as well.
The move is probably best for all parties involved:
- Regina gets a good young player who has scored at a prolific rate in juniors.
- The Bruins get to see their prospect develop and get some swagger back in his game.
- Gabrielle gets consistent playing time on a pretty big stage.
Best of luck to the kid in the move back to Regina!
