It’s time for another emergency recall!

A couple hours after announcing that Jeremy Lauzon had been recalled on an emergency basis, the Bruins recalled forward Colby Cave on a similarly urgent basis.

Given that it’s an emergency recall, it’s fair to guess that a forward may be a little banged up in advance of tomorrow night’s game in Carolina.

Cave is currently the Providence Bruins’ leading scorer with 5G-5A-10PTS totals in just eight games.

The left-shot center could be looking at time on the third or fourth line, but it’s hard to say for sure, given we don’t really know who may or may not be injured.

Emergency recall rules stipulate that the player be returned to the affiliate once the “emergency” is over, so Cave may not be here long.
