After Boston opened up its 2018-2019 campaign on Wednesday, the Providence Bruins are slated to begin the season tonight against the Hartford Wolf Pack.
The P-Bruins are expected to start Zane McIntyre in the first of what will be ten game against the Wolf Pack this season, according the Mark Divver of the Providence Journal.
Although the P-Bruins lost some key players during the offseason in Kenny Agostino, Tommy Cross, and Austin Czarnik, the team has an abundance of intriguing rookies and returning second-year players.
Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson, Ryan Fitzgerald, and Zach Senyshyn are all expected to take a step forward as they begin their second years, while rookies Cameron Hughes and Karson Kuhlman have the potential to be some nice pieces. On top of that, the P-Bruins have several quality veterans in Chris Breen, Colby Cave, and Jordan Szwarz who will help lead the way.
The P-Bruins got off to a hot start last season but slowed during the middle-half of the 76-game schedule, but it’s a new season. The team knows they’ll have to maintain the consistency this year, and the long journey to the Calder Cup Playoffs begins tonight.
Providence will play its home opener tomorrow night against Laval.
