WATCH: All four of Patrice Bergeron’s career hat tricks

Just because he plays good defense doesn’t mean the man can’t put the puck in the net.

In celebration of Saint Patrice Bergeron’s hat trick last night, let’s relive more of his offensive glory days! As one of the best defensive forwards ever, nights like these are few and far between. It’s great to see the puck in the net off of his stick. Since being given a bit more encouragement from Bruce Cassidy to get more involved on offense, we’ve seen an even more well-rounded god individual.

Big thanks to Youtuber dafoomie for all the great highlight clips over the years. (One is from Sportsnet. Too bad the NHL won’t let us embed their videos.)

First: 2010-2011 (January 11, also against the Senators, to lead Boston to a 6-0 win)

2017-2018

January 6 vs. Hurricanes, where The Saint scored four and led Boston to a 7-1 victory over Carolina.

LATER THAT VERY SAME MONTH

January 18, vs. Islanders against current Bruins goalie Jaroslav Halak in a 5-2 win in Brooklyn.

2018-2019

October 8, last night, in the Bruins’ home-opening 6-3 win - and hopefully not the last of this season!

Way to go, Dad! (joke TM Bruins media staff)
