Recap: Shorthanded Bruins earn a point, but lose 1-0 in Dallas

If there’s such a thing as a “good loss,” this is probably it.

Not much to show you in the way of offense from last night, so let’s get right to the lone goal:

Turnover, good save, no coverage on the rebound. It happens. 1-0 Stars win.

Other highlights:

Brad Marchand earned himself some time in the penalty box due to his “slash” on Ben Bishop, which he followed up by waving the white flag from the penalty box to get him an extra 10.

Patrice Bergeron was down in a heap after being ridden into the boards by Radek Faksa. He’d return to the game, but reportedly may miss tonight’s game against Arizona.

These two teams just always seem to end up in scrums, like this one in the third period. Looks like Roman Polak may have gotten some questionable shots in on Torey Krug.

Connor Clifton showed that he came to play, dropping the gloves for his first NHL fight.

And that’s it!

There was some good in this game (Tuukka Rask was sharp), but the bad (anemic offense, lack of discipline, questionable calls) ended up coming out on top.

Back at it tonight!
