Brendan Gallagher tries really hard to be the Montreal Canadiens’ version of Brad Marchand. He’s not as good a player as Marchand, and isn’t really as good at agitating either, but he can take cheap shots that would make Marchand proud.
Case in point: this bit of stickwork on Kevan Miller as time expired in the first period.

A scrum ensued, with Gallagher talking a ton of trash once the officials were involved.
Apparently, no penalties were called in either direction.
The Bruins lead Montreal 2-0 at the start of the second.
EDIT (8:24 PM): Apparently penalties were called in secret, as they just weren’t posted on the NHL site. Looks like Miller was called for roughing, Gallagher for slashing.
