Kevan Miller taken to the hospital after taking a John Tavares shot to the neck

A tough break for Boston, as they’re forced to finish the game with five defensemen, two of whom began the season in Providence.

Poor Kevan Miller just can’t get a reprieve from the IR. Per TSN’s broadcast, he’s been taken to an area hospital in Toronto to be evaluated after taking a direct Tavares shot to the throat.

Here’s hoping it’s not too serious and he can recover quickly. Providence is starting to wonder when they’ll get their defensemen back.
