The Bruins aren’t even playing, but they’re still winning.
While most on the East Coast were sleeping, Ryan Donato, the Bruins’ hottest prospect, was carrying Team USA to a 2-1 preliminary round win over Slovakia.
The Harvard forward scored both American goals in the victory. Both came on the power play, and both will do little to quell the hype Bruins fans are feeling about the kid.
The first goal gave the US a 1-0 lead in the first period:

Congrats to the local kid for lighting it up on the big stage.
The men’s team will be back at it Saturday night at 9:10 PM against the Olympic Athletes from Russia, while the women’s team will play in the quarterfinals tomorrow as well, with the time TBD.
