Bruins vs. Oilers 2/20/18 PREVIEW

The west coast trip continues to face the eternally suffering Oilers

NHL: Edmonton Oilers at Boston Bruins Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports

Just the Facts:

The Time: 9pm

The Place: Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Place to Watch: NESN

Place to Listen: 98.5 The Sports Hub

Opposing SBNation Blog: Copper and Blue

Players to Watch:

  • Connor McDavid. You know ‘em, you probably have an opinion on the kid, but you can’t deny he is absolutely fantastic. Gotta keep your eye on him. Oh and by the way Connor McDavid has 69 points. Nice.
  • Cam Talbot just had a half-decent game against the Avalanche, and so I’d imagine he’d be playing tonight because Al Montoya and Broissant? Not cutting it.
  • Patrick Maroon is gaining a reputation as a bit of a Bruins killer. He also has around 30 points so....keep an eye out.

Preview:

Boston just won a 2-1 thriller in Overtime against the Flames, and are back at it tonight against an Edmonton Oilers team that, while not perfect and definitely not making the playoffs, can still bring a lot of danger to their games against. Even if they’ve gotten beaten pretty badly in 4 of their last 5.

Expect Khudobin to play tonight, and be ready for a tough game. Boston hasn’t had a win over these guys in awhile and they’re gonna be raring to fix that.

Tune in, and Go B’s!
