It looks like tonight might be the night we see some of the B’s newly-acquired depth put on showcase. We might also see Patrice Bergeron sit out with an injury tonight... which puts Riley Nash in his top-center spot. Backes centered the third line and Brian Gionta took reps at wing. Nick Holden took 4th-pairing reps with Adam McQuaid, now that Brandon Carlo is back in the mix. (Maybe he was held out due to a pending trade? The world may never know...)
UPDATE: Gionta was a placeholder for Tommy!
Per Cassidy, Tommy Wingels will play with David Backes and Danton Heinen tonight. Brian Gionta will be a scratch. #NHLBruins
