The Donato hype seemed to reach a crescendo with the local kid, and son of former Bruin Ted Donato signing his entry level contract, and surprisingly making his NHL debut in a matter of 24 hours. That is, until he donned his Black and Gold sweater and wrote his name in the Bruins history books scoring on a laser against Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Joonas Korpisalo in the 2nd period to tie the game at 1-1.

Man, this shot is beautiful. Only in the second period and the kid from Scituate already has 5 credited shots on goal and a goal in under 9 minutes TOI, to go along with a strong all around game. Not bad for a kid who has barely practiced with the team.

EVEN HIS CELEBRATION IS TOP NOTCH!
Later in the 2nd period Donato was credited with his first assist on Riley Nash’s 15th goal of the year. Can the kid collect a Gordie Howe while he’s at it? Stay tuned because at this point it wouldn’t shock me.
No. 15 for @rileynash20. First career assist for @DonatoRyan. #NHLBruins pic.twitter.com/Mvs8LjvUZT

It would seem Donato was just getting warmed up as he added a third point of the night late in the 3rd period on a crucial tying goal. His poise in the offensive zone has been spectacular, with or without the points that went with it.
Lol. Ryan Donato has his 3rd point of the night on an assist on this Krejci goal. Unreal. pic.twitter.com/ANQHjaAbIO
