The Boston Bruins announced today, March 20th, that the club has assigned Anton Blidh to Providence after a short stint with the team. Blidh played one game, against the Columbus Blue Jackets and did not record a point. He looked out of place in the lineup hence the recall of Jordan Szwarz.
Jordan Szwarz has 16 goals and 25 assists for 44 points in 46 games played. Szwarz has emerged as one of Providence’s top players and will get another chance to play with Boston this season. In ten games played with Boston this season, Szwarz has recorded three assists.
Due to Adam McQuaid hitting the injury block, Paul Postma has been recalled from Providence as well. In six games with Providence, Postma has recorded six assists. Postma seems ready to make his return to the Boston lineup and could very well do so at some point this week.
