Patrice Bergeron could return to the B’s lineup as soon as Sunday to take on the Minnesota Wild. Per Bruce Cassidy, Bergeron has a doctor’s appointment today and if all goes well, he could meet the team in Minnesota this weekend.

Obviously getting healthy is the B’s main goal right now after clinching a spot in the playoffs. Getting Bergeron back would be a huge plus for the rest of the year. Bergy is having a tremendous season, recording 27 goals and 27 assists for 54 points in 55 games played. This is something every Bruins fan likes to see from one of the groups core leaders.
Patrice hasn’t played a game since February 25 against the Buffalo Sabres. About a month later, we could see the league’s best two-way center return to action. Will Bergy make an instant impact in the lineup coming off injury? Absolutely. The best first line in the league will be reunited when Bergy makes his return. Marchy, Bergy, and Pasta have terrific chemistry and have accounted for most of the Bruins goals this season.
It may take a few shifts for Bergy to get his legs going but overall he will have an impact on a lineup that has suffered so many injuries over the past month or so. Stay positive Bruins fans and pray that Bergy is cleared to play on Sunday. If cleared, we will see one of the biggest, most impactful players return to play.
