Hang in there, folks. TavaresMania should end by Sunday. WE CAN DO IT.
Anyways, the Bruins had their meeting with the free agent superstar yesterday in Los Angeles.
Bruce Cassidy, Don Sweeney and Can Neely all made the trek out to the sunny west coast to meet with John Tavares and his agent, Pat Brisson.
Tavares is prepared, per reports.
Via fresh @reporterchris column this a.m: "Tavares is a meticulous guy who spent the last couple months reviewing his options and had a 77-page book prepared that contained a deep dive into each of the organizations he was most likely to find appealing."https://t.co/09i2bdPsLW

The Bruins' meeting ended late afternoon east coast time, per John Lu of TSN. We even got a grainy photo!
#Bruins delegation has finished its pitch in #TavaresWatch. Presentation was a little under 2 hours, seemingly the briefest of the 4 teams thus far. #TSN #NHL pic.twitter.com/LBMobSLSKN

It would appear that Tavares has liked what he's heard thus far.
John Tavares and his reps no longer plan to bring any additional teams into their free-agent process after meeting with Dallas and Tampa today.

The field is down to six: Leafs, Islanders, Sharks, Bruins, Stars and Lightning. #TavaresWatch
And now...we wait.
Details will likely trickle out leading up to the weekend, but my guess remains that Tavares goes back to Long Island.
He's beloved there, is already the captain and they have a good group of young players and a new arena coming.
I'd put the Leafs in second place, then the Bruins after that. You never know though...worth a shot!
