The B’s free agent signings have been officially assigned their numbers for the year, as Kevin Paul Dupont from the globe announced today. Here’s roughly what they would look like:

Those who didn’t change were Jaroslav Halak...and that’s about it because everyone else either had a reason or felt it was time!
John Moore changed to 27 because the number 2 is retired in Boston.
Chris Wagner went from 21 to 14. a number he’s never previously had.
Joakim Nordstrom went from 42 to 20, as that number is very much taken by David Backes.
Look out in the near future, as the depth and rookies that inevitably make it onto the main roster this year will likely involve new numbers all across the board!
