Who knew he had those moves in him?!?!

It’s summer! We need content, you need a quick read/view. Let’s take a trip down memory lane with a daily dose of Bruins nostalgia.

When: January 10, 2012

What: Shawn Thornton dazzles and thrills with his hands, but not in the usual way.

Shawn Thornton scored 43 goals in his NHL career. He probably punched three times as many faces.

He was beloved for his fisticuffs and his physical style of play, but he was also a hockey player...what hockey player doesn’t want to score goals?

This made the goal above even better: it gave Thornton a chance to show that he was more than a face-puncher. This was a “hey, I can play” deke and a beautiful finish.

The fact that it happened in front of the home crowd made it even better. NIFTY MITTENS.
