The Bruins will participate in the Prospects Challenge in Buffalo again this September, giving some of the kids a chance to face off against similar competition.

The Bruins, who also participated last year, will be joined by the host Buffalo Sabres, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New Jersey Devils.

If nothing else, this will be a good chance to get an early look at Rasmus Dahlin, the first pick in this past June’s Draft. However, it’s possible that the Sabres have him skip this tournament entirely to prepare for regular training camp.

Per WGR, here’s the preliminary schedule:

  • Friday, September 7: Bruins vs. Penguins, 3:30 PM
  • Saturday, September 8: Bruins vs. Sabres, 7 PM
  • Sunday, September 9: Bruins vs. Devils, 9:30 AM
