The bye week is over, and with that end comes news!
The Bruins announced this afternoon that Tuukka Rask has been placed on injured reserve, as issues from his concussion appear to be lingering.
The placement is retroactive to January 19, meaning he can return any time he's ready.
In his place, the Bruins have recalled Zane McIntyre.
Once the "next guy" in the system, McIntyre's development has stalled a bit of late.
He's 16-8-0 this season in the AHL, with a GAA of 2.74 and a save percentage of .887.
He's played in 8 NHL games in his career, posting a save percentage of .858 and a GAA of 3.97.
With Rask out at least through tomorrow, McIntyre likely only plays if Rask's absence lingers or if Jaroslav Halak gets hurt.
