The Bruins announced this afternoon that they've recalled Peter Cehlarik from Providence, which was expected, as he was only sent down for playing time during the bye week.
However, he's bringing another Providence Bruin with him: the team recalled center Trent Frederic as well.
To make room on the roster, the Bruins sent Ryan Donato and Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson to Providence.
The recall of Frederic is an interesting move, as it gives fans a chance to see what he can do. He likely takes Forsbacka Karlsson's spot as 3C for now.
He was drafted 29th overall by the Bruins back in 2016. In 37 games with Providence this season, he's got 10 goals and 7 assists.
The demotions are a blow for Forsbacka Karlsson and Donato, each of whom has struggled with consistency at times this season.
